5 Months Old

On January 22, Maddie turned 5 months old.  Unfortunately, we had to go to the doctor for a sick visit.  Fortunately at the doctor, she was weighed.

Our little girl's weight gain is slowing down, at least for this month.  She weighed a whopping 16 lbs, 12 oz.  That's only a 9 oz. increase from last month's check up.  They didn't measure her or give percentiles so we will have to wait  until next month to see if she's still in the 90's.

She's giving us 11 1/2 hours of sleep at night and is sitting up unassisted.  She's been laughing when prompted and smiling all the time!  She is such a joy in our lives.

Little miss was just diagnosed with a milk allergy.  While it's no fun for momma, we hope she continues to grow into a healthy little girl.

She's becoming quite the explorer and likes to put everything in her mouth.  We have had better luck feeding her carrots and green beans, rather than the rice cereal.

Her eyes remain blue.  We hope they will stay that way.
