Wild Life in the City

I went on a run yesterday...surprise, surprise. On my daily runs, I usually don't see wild life. I retract that statement. I usually don't see typical urban-living wildlife. What I usually see are skittish squirrels, leashed dogs and maybe a bunny rabbit or two.

Back to my story. Yesterday, I was running by a school and saw this mammoth bird hop onto the top of a fence. It wasn't until the bird was on the top that I realized, it wasn't a bird but Thanksgiving dinner. It was a wild turkey!

It must have felt safe because it isn't hunting season and it was in the city. People like us don't know what to do with real wild life in our backyards.
